The Clarity Self Paced Training curriculum is designed to provide customers with a highly scalable, interactive, consistent and cost effective approach to training both project teams and end users. This section describes some of the advantages of Clarity Self Paced Training, the technologies used to develop and deliver the courses, deliverables associated with a course, and the enrollment audit process.

Using Clarity Self Paced Training
No server is needed for customers choosing to have CA host their Self Paced Trainingcourses. Students simply connect to the courses through CA's Learning Management System via the internet. For customers choosing to host their Clarity Self Paced Training courses themselves, the courses must be deployed on a Learning Management System that is SCORM 1.2 compliant.
SCORM Compliance
There are many vendor specific and homegrown Learning Management Systems in use throughout the world. What ensures that Clarity Self Paced Training courses are compatible with a customer’s Learning Management System is an industry standard known as SCORM. CA's courses are SCORM 1.2 compliant, which means that any Learning Management System that is SCORM 1.2 compliant can run CA's courses. CA does not provide instructions on how to deploy its courses on customer Learning Management Systems because they are all different. Typically, customers who have Learning Management Systems also have administrators of the Learning Management Systems who are responsible for loading the Clarity courses onto their systems. In the event that they require assistance, CA will provide the help needed to get the courses to work properly.

Deliverables
When a customer purchases a Clarity Self Paced Training Course, the customer receives a perpetual license to that course for a specific number of named users. Courses are delivered in the form of a .ZIP file that contains a SCORM package. A SCORM package is a series of related files that together can be deployed as a Self Paced Training course on a Learning Management System.
It is important to understand that the SCORM package is not executable by itself. In other words, a course cannot be run directly from the CD-ROM. It must be loaded onto a Learning Management System to run.
The .ZIP file will be delivered to the customer via CD-ROM.
Maintenance
Maintenance is available on a per annum basis. Maintenance entitles customers to receive future updates for the named users that have been registered for the purchased course at no additional cost. Customers may renew their maintenance on a yearly basis.
Hosting
For customers who elect to not host Clarity Self Paced Training themselves, CA offers a turnkey hosting solution. This hosting option lets customers access the courses they have purchased over the Internet via CA's Learning Management System.
This entitles the customer to access the courses via CA's Learning Management System for a period from a contracted start date. The customer may enroll up to the number of named users for which it owns a perpetual license to a given course.
There is a yearly hosting fee.
Customization
Customers can contract assistance from Clarity University resources for the purposes of developing or customizing SPT course content.
Evaluation Logins
An evaluation login can be provided to your organization to evaluate Clarity's SPT products. Please contact your Engagement Manager or the CA Education department directly.
